Happy New Year to all our readers at Wrestle-Complex.com. As a special gift for the New Year, I, Blue Coyote have tracked down another interview exclusive from Wrestle-Complex to you, our loyal readers. I caught up with former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Kid Kash for an interview. Kash has recently been working Indies in the US and the UK.
Blue Coyote: How have you been doing?
Kid Kash: I have been doing good, staying busy and getting some cool traveling in.
Blue Coyote: How has working in the UK been?
Kid Kash: Working in the UK is always a treat. I love being in Europe period, every one you meet are always cool, they have some really good talent so my matches never suck.
Blue Coyote: The rumor on the internet is that you could be making a return to TNA. Is there any truth to these rumors?
Kid Kash: LOL... You never know what happens next in this business.
Blue Coyote: I was excited to see you turn up in WWE. You were doing good, and the they gave you the big "good luck" statement on their website. You just seemed to disappear. What Happened?
Kid Kash: Well thanks it was a thrill, a dream and an honor to be there. I loved every moment, and learned so much in my time there. The truly are the principle company in the world of wrestling. We parted on good terms and hope to go back when it’s right.
Blue Coyote: When you were released there was some promise of return, do you see a return to WWE anytime soon?
Kid Kash: I hope so, that’s the only place to be that counts when it comes to your career.
Blue Coyote: You look to be in the best shape in years. What is your work routine like?
Kid Kash: Well thanks again, I watch what I eat, back to two a day workouts, I’m back into some amateur fighting, so I’m also back to running 5 miles every two days. And every workout I do three drop sets of as many reps as I can do. Start with 80% OF MY MAX WEIGHT and drop all the way to down. Lot of heavy reps and a lot of sets.
Blue Coyote: Do you stay in contact with any one from your days at ECW/WCW/TNA/WWE?
Kid Kash: Yea it’s hard to make real friends in wrestling but you can do it. I keep in touch with RVD, Sabu, Jamie Noble, Ron Killings, and a few others.
Blue Coyote: You seem very care free. What is your perfect day off?
Kid Kash: A day of doing any thing not wrestling related!! LOL... Hanging by the water, hiking, stuff like that. Oh, I love traveling and sight seeing.
Blue Coyote: What is your opinion of the current ECW?
Kid Kash: I don’t watch it to have one really... To me it’s not ECW, its WWE. I worked for the real ECW; oh did I mention I was TV champ too. LOL...
Blue Coyote: Is there anyone you want to work with?
Kid Kash: At this point in my career I hope to only work for the best companies and work the best talent.
Blue Coyote: Do you have any up coming shows to you want to promote?
Kid Kash: Not really, I’m doing some Indies here in the states, will be going back to Europe the first part of Feb. I’m days away from opening a mixed martial arts school, and later add wrestling training to it. So I take the dates as they come. And I never remember the company names. LOL...
Blue Coyote: What is your best advice to someone wanting to break into the business?
Kid Kash: LOL... Don’t... Expect the worst and hope for the
best…
Blue Coyote: Have you ever thought about training people to wrestle?
Kid Kash: Yea once my martial arts school gets rollin’ I’m going to add wrestling to it.
Blue Coyote: Is the Indy Circuit anything like the territorial days in wrestling?
Kid Kash: Not at all... way worse…
Blue Coyote: Does TNA have what it takes to rival WWE like WCW once did?
Kid Kash: Not at this point, But that’s not saying it couldn’t.
Blue Coyote: Did you have a gimmick that you never really liked doing?
Kid Kash: No I’ve only had two names David Jericho, And Kid Kash
Blue Coyote: What is your favorite place to work?
Kid Kash: Hmmm I don’t know, been to a lot of cool places. Anywhere outside the US.
Blue Coyote: Tell me about Kid Kash inside the ring, what happens when the bell rings?
Kid Kash: LOL... Intense and stiff.
Blue Coyote: Ever thought about writing a book?
Kid Kash: Oh hell yea. The shit that I could say, wow. Saving that for when I’m ready to retire. LOL...
Blue Coyote: Do you have any sites to send our readers to?
Kid Kash: Ummm let’s see I have the myspace thing, www.myspacedavidkidkash.com.
Blue Coyote: Thank you again for your time
Kid Kash: And thank you for having me. Awesome yea keep in touch man...
